Acupuncture and Dry Needling

Having pain? Let's fix that.

Headaches? Let's treat those.

Having fertility challenges? Please come in.

There is a wealth of data about acupuncture's effectiveness in American medical journals.

Dry Needling is also known as ashi needling and trigger point needling and part of the medicine that I spent 4 years in Chinese medical school to learn.

Prior to treating you with acupuncture, I do a thorough pulse diagnosis. A proper evaluation of your pulses, where Practitioners of Chinese medicine discover imbalances, is the key to effective treatment. This is my specialty, a technique that I treat to Practitioners all over the world, and why my treatments are unique. The treatment plan is to find the cause of your condition or symptoms and resolve that rather than just treating symptoms which is almost always just a temporary quick fix.

Distant Reiki

You want to know: what is long distance Reiki and how will it help me since I want healing at home? I need to feel better, how can you help?

Here is the answer. We are built from life force, qi, a flow of oxygen and blood. Our life force knows no bounds in time or space so therefore healing energy can be directed through space and time. I remember a study that I read in graduate school; it was a prayer study. The patients who were prayed for (any type of prayer - Reiki, Catholic, Jewish, Buddhist, etc.) had better health outcomes. No kidding. They didn’t know at all that they were being treated with long distant healing and they got better faster.

In distant treatments, my focus and intent is to send healing energy to you while you are wiling to receive it, and together it works! It is just one part of the therapies I offer for your WellCare.

How does long distance Reiki help you?

  • promotes deep relaxation
  • reduces depression and anxiety
  • helps relieve pain
  • aids in recovery from surgery
  • stimulates your immune system
  • helps detoxify your body
  • encourages a good night’s sleep

I start every session with a Telemedicine Discovery Call where you and I talk about your issues and needs. Then we set up a time for the long distant healing treatment. The treatment also includes a follow up email where I tell you my impressions and you give me feedback.

What one happy patient said: "To me, the effects of distant healing treatments with Dr. Martha are just as profound as those I experience during in-person treatments."

Dr. Martha

PS: You are not alone, and if you're going through a rough patch, please do reach out to me. Talking about it helps relieve the burden; it physically calms your brain, and maybe I can make a suggestion or two to help you through.

Right now, you have the opportunity to receive 4 Teleheath (long distance, virtual) treatments for the price of 3*. Email me to set them up! (4 treatments, once/week for a month.)

Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture

Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture is the natural way to keep you looking young and fresh.

An all-natural beautifying treatment that are non-toxic, hypo-allergic, FDA approved, and have no known side effects. They are an all-natural alternative to face-lifts, cosmetic surgery, fillers and other injections like Botox®.

These injections have no known side effects other than occasional bruising as with any injection. Unlike most dermal fillers, homeopathic collagen encourages the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid (the skin’s natural hydration).

It helps skin to look its best and helps to slow the aging process, leaving your complexion smooth and radiant! A series of treatments is best, 3 or 4 treatments is the usual recommendation.

The skin will produce more of its own collagen but time is required for cellular turnover to take place. Extremely thin needles are used for these injections, which are administered very superficially, at the surface of the skin. The injections are virtually painless but if necessary, I use a numbing cream before the injections.

It works! Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture has been called "the absolute best cosmetic procedure out there!" Mei Zen rebuilds your matrix of collagen and elastin to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, help prevent sagging, and keep your skin plump. I developed this technique and teach it to Practitioners world wide.

Microneedling Collagen Stimulation

Micro-Fractional Collagen Microneedling is a treatment for reducing wrinkles and fine lines! Plus, I use My Zen Skin Care products that are based on Chinese medicine, include Chinese herbs, essential oils, peptides, hyaluronic acid, and other active ingredients, and are balanced to address a myriad of skin issues. You will experience some immediate improvement in skin tone, texture, fine lines, wrinkles, and even laxity. The protocol is a series of three microneedling treatments and you will see long term results when you receive 3 to 4 treatments a year for maintenance.

Injection Therapy

SCAR THERAPY - reduces the appearance of scars and residual pain

WRINKLES? - I inject homeopathic collagen, Made, and procaine (vitamin B) to improve the status of your skin and plump it up.

Vitamin B-12 is an important source of energy. A B-12 deficiency can cause memory issues, depression, fatigue, and constipation. Proper levels can boost your energy, help reduce your appetite, and create a better digestive situation. What is the quickest, most effective way to correct a Vitamin B12 deficiency?
A B-12 injection is best. Vitamin B-12 is not absorbed by the stomach therefore the entire dosage is available to the body for use when given in the form of an injection.

SCAR THERAPY - Neural therapy is an injection treatment that stimulates healing. Developed in Europe in the early 1900s, neural therapy has continued to grow in use. It is an effective treatment for chronic pain, especially when practiced by a well-trained physician. Neural therapy is also a wonderful complementary procedure for use with prolotherapy, a treatment that stimulates healing of ligaments, tendons and joints.

Often referred to as Lipo-injections, these injections are used to help release fat throughout the body by specifically targeting primary fatty deposits. Vitamin B-12 combined with the essential amino acids Methionine, Inositol and Choline (MIC) and L-Carnitine facilitate the use of food for energy and the breakdown of fat, aid in digestion and elimination, and boost energy.

Referred to as Trigger Point Injection Therapy or Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, its purpose is to eliminate pain and to re-educate your muscles into pain-free motions. Injections using a combination of Traumeel, Procaine, and Saline help reduce the swelling and stiffness of neuromuscular pain, increase range of motion, relieve tension, and improve circulation, flexibility and coordination.

Laser Light Therapy or Cold Laser Treatment

Cold laser therapy is used primarily to treat pain but has other uses as well for example in the world of cosmetic treatment (by improving collagen.) Cold laser therapy is safe, effective, and completely noninvasive. Also known as low level laser therapy, the cold laser has the ability to penetrate the skin to assist healing even in deep joint problems.

Cold laser increases metabolic activity, has anti-inflammatory action, increases vascular activity, reduces fibrous tissue formation, and stimulates nerve function. I treat muscle and joint pain, arthritis stiffness and pain, carpal tunnel, neck and lower back pain, and more. Treatment does not take very long (usually appointments are no longer than 30 minutes) and several treatments a week are needed for healing.

Chinese Herbal Prescriptions

Natural herbs have been used for centuries to treat a wide variety of symptoms and diseases. The herbal formulas that I use are safe and effective.

Manual Therapy, Gua Sha Medical Massage, and Tok Sen Tapping Massage

Although Acupuncture and herbs are the most well known therapies used by Chinese medicine practitioners, I also offer Manual Therapy techniques or Chinese Medical Massage, gua sha (including my FACIAL GUA SHA EXTRA MOISTURIZING TREATMENT.)

Both acute and chronic pain are treated successfully with gua sha but it is also used to treat other conditions like chest colds, sprains, post surgical stagnation, etc.

Oxidation Restoration Therapy aka Activated Oxygen Therapy and Ozone Therapy

Activated Oxygen, also know as ozone (O3) is created naturally in our atmosphere when the Earth’s oxygen meets the sun’s rays. Ozone contains three oxygen atoms rather than the two that we usually breathe. That 3rd atom becomes a scavenger destroying viruses, bacteria, free radicals, etc. Medical Activated Oxygen (what I use in my practice) is used to treat skin issues (topically) but I also treat pain both topically and with injection therapy.
